The 18th IMSC is over.
On Sep. 4, 2009, John C. Traeger, president of the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (IMSF), has officially closed the 18th IMSC that had been held in Bremen, Germany, from Aug. 30 to Sep. 4, 2009. It has seen a record attendance of 2670 from 45 countries from all over the world.
We, the organizers of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Massenspektrometrie (DGMS), want to thank you all for having attended the 18th IMSC and for having contributed to it in so many ways. Your lectures, orals, posters, and your company’s booths have made worth every effort taken in organizing this prestigious scientific event. Of course, we are also grateful to all our sponsoring companies for their strong support. It has been a pleasure to host you in Bremen.
The 19th IMSC is being organized by the Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan (MSSJ). The 19th IMSC will be held from Sep. 15-21, 2012 in Kyoto. The foundation committee consists of Yoshinao Wada (Chair), Koichi Tanaka (Co-Chair), Michisato Toyoda (Secretary) and Takemichi Nakamura (Treasurer). The Kyoto conference will be the first IMSC to be held outside of Europe.
